![]() | Foden S104 Chassis no 450037 Reg No N206NAY Built 1995 New in 1995 to T.Baden.Hardstaff Haulage driven on many occasions by present owner, hauling concrete barriers before transferring to general haulage work until approx 2005, when the lorry was used for shunting operations at a British Gypsum Distribution facility. During mid 2006 when the clutch developed a serious fault the tractor was retired from service. Neil Matlock was instrumental in the acquisition of this Foden Tractor unit for preservation. Refurbished over 4 years by Chris Selby with great help from friends which Now used to attend shows & publicity for Hardstaff Haulage.

Chris Maddison says that "Apart from a clutch (routine when we buy a truck) and a few ABS valves etc she has been perfect, and still only has 650k on the clock. The Kelsa bars are a recent additon when we decided she would be staying with us forever". The Alpha is fully employed moving agricultural kit with a stepframe trailer and haulage for Cobelfret from Killingholme. |
Formerly employed as a recovery vehicle with a Wolverhampton based bus company Q79VOE, Chassis number 106026 is now undergoing restoration work. Power is provided by a Gardner 6LXC 201 engine driving through a Foden gearbox to Rockwell final drive. This 1980 Fleetmaster is now in the ownership of Sean Smith. | |
![]() | Also in the ownership of Sean Smith is this 1973 S80 Tractor unit. Purchased via a small ad in the Foden Society Newsletter in 2004 OUT977M, Chassis number 80418, had spent quite some time working for a Fairground man Philip Hall. The vehicle was collected from Philips home in Belgium and driven back to Manchester. Powered by a Cummins NH220 driving through a Foden gearbox to a Foden final drive the lorry never missed a beat. Restoration work is due to start summer2012. |
